HEAD START AREA MANAGER

Southwest HRA Head Start is accepting applications for the position of Area Manager to supervise classrooms in Hardeman and McNairy Counties.

Job Duties Include: Assisting the Early Childhood Development Manager in supervising and coordinating the Head Start Education Program in the designated service area, reviewing and evaluating lesson plans, observing classroom activities, serving as an education consultant to teaching staff, conducting annual performance appraisals of teaching staff, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head Start Director and/or Early Childhood Development Manager. 

Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and vehicle insurance. Must pass a physical exam, drug screen, and criminal fingerprint/background check.

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree with 18 credit hours of Early Childhood Education and have at least 1 year as a lead teacher and/or experience supervising and directing the activities of an early childhood program.

Salary: $22.08 per hr.

Work schedule: 45 weeks (10 months) 37.5 hrs. per week.

5 days per week 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m./ 1 hr. lunch
