Southwest Human Resource Agency was founded in 1973 under the Human Resource Act of 1973. We established a mission to meet the needs of families and individuals in our service area by delivering social services and resources. Through effective collaboration with federal, state and community partners, we are dedicated to enhancing quality of life, promoting self-sufficiency, and alleviating the effects of poverty.
The Human Resource Agencies have developed close relationships and a spirit of strong support, partnership, and cooperation with our federal, state, and local governments. Governor Lee continues this long tradition of partnership and commitment to the HRAs. His support strengthens our efforts and brings new opportunities for us to better serve our communities.
Southwest Human Resource Agency is a strong believer in improving and enhancing the lives of those who experience hardships throughout their life and is dedicated to helping provide support, assistance, and to increase the overall quality of any individual’s life.
More than five decades later, Southwest Human Resource Agency has served many adults and children and continues to grow and provide a variety of services.
