Position Overview:
The Central Kitchen Assembly Position is responsible for packing meals according to sanitary and safety guidelines, assisting with general sanitation throughout the facility, and supporting cooks and other staff as needed. The position involves various physical tasks such as stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying bulk food items weighing up to 50 pounds.

The SUN Van Driver is responsible for delivering food and supplies based on the daily menu and meal counts provided by the Central Kitchen Operations Manager. This position requires physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and handling bulk food and cases up to 100 pounds, as well as operating cargo vans in a safe and efficient manner.

The Central Kitchen Loader is responsible for assisting, receiving, and retrieving all produce for the food service facility as directed by cooks, coordinators, and/or supervisors. This employee is responsible for assisting with sanitation responsibilities throughout the facility. They must have a willingness to be flexible and versatile when directed or as needed. Physical demands include, but are not limited to, stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying bulk food and cases up to 50 pounds.

The Summer Food Service Program was created to ensure that children continue receiving the nutritious meals they need even when school is not in session. From May to August, we provide free, healthy meals that meet Federal Nutrition guidelines at approved sites.
